Daddy's Little Helper

So Darren went for a motorcycle ride today (off-road). He always washes all the dirt off his bike with the power washer when he comes home. Caelan is always so anxious to help; today Darren gave her the power washer and let her do the job. Notice her outfit is totally appropriate for the job; new dress with the cowboy boots that she rarely has taken off all summer. The bicycle helmet also adds a certain je ne sais quoi?

I Heart Faces - Birthdays

This is my entry for I Heart Faces Week 21. This was taken at a school friend's birthday party. My kids will never even look at me when I want to take their picture; but sweet Eddie looked up and gave me a beautiful smile while waiting for us to sing to him :)

I <3 Faces Laughter

Here is my entry for I Heart Faces Laughter category. Guest judge is my favorite blogger (and the blog that got me reading blogs - which eventually lead me to this blog) Pioneer Woman. Very exciting! This is my daughter; I got this with my brand new 50mm prime lens on the Big Wheel ferris wheel at the Irvine Spectrum. I think Ree might like it because it has spittle included (although I know she's partial to cow spittle).

Baby H

OK, so here are photos of my first real (not so real) photo shoot. My friends Dave & Steph had a baby at the end of February and they allowed me to take some photos when she was 10 days old. So my first session was with a newborn and I learned a lot. I think I got a few good photos; Daddy was happy when he saw them this morning anyway, so that's a good sign. The photos look a little dark here though. Click on the photo above to see larger.
