Photos by Tara Whitney / Blog It Board by MCP Actions

This summer we were so lucky to have Tara Whitney to come to our house to take some family photos. She is so lovely and sweet and amazing with the kids. She was especially great with Dylan who wasn't really on board with the whole photo shoot idea. She got some great photos of him. I can never get good photos of him because he won't cooperate with me. So, THANK YOU Tara for coming out to our house and for taking such wonderful photos of the family, it means so much to us that we were able to get them taken at home!

I also want you all to know that I created the photo post with Magic Blog It boards from MCP Actions www.mcpactions.com They were SO easy to use and made putting this collage of photos together so quick & easy. I wasn't sure about how easy it would be, so I went to the MCP Actions web-site and there is a link "try me" so I could try it for free; but now I know I will be purchasing these actions to make blogging photos super easy.

why blog?

>> Friday, July 25, 2008

I'm a private kinda girl. If you told any of my friends or family that I am writing a blog, I'm certain their jaws would drop to the floor. I have been reading some great blogs over the past few months and I love reading them, I'd say I'm almost an addict at this point. I'm very new to this blogging thing, I didn't even know what a blog really was until a few months ago, and had no clue why in the world anyone would ever use google reader; now it's the first and last thing I look at everyday.

Anyway, for the past few years I've felt like I'm half-asleep, an observer to my life instead of an active participant. I've considered seeking therapy, but that hasn't worked out yet. So, I will turn to writing to help me boost my life activities. I want to have more fun and maybe if I need to do things to have something to write about, that will help.

I'm a somewhat successful full-time working mom with two little ones; My boy is 6 and my girl is 3. I LOVE my babies. My husband "gets" to stay home and take care of the kids while I work away supporting the family. He doesn't see this as a "get to do" kind of thing; it's a big job. He also cares for our small avocado grove and everything else a Stay at Home parent does that doesn't get fully recognized or appreciated by the working parent or the rest of the working world.
